The Birth of an Adult

An adult is born when he smiles at chaos.
Yet, he knows it is chaos that gives birth to a rising star.

An adult is born when it dawns on him that everybody is selfish.
Yet, he knows that it is only love that can conquer all.

An adult is born when he does the things he doesn't like at all.
Yet, he does it, for a greater good.

An adult is born when he wakes up in the morning sleep deprived.
Yet, drags himself to work, for he has bills to pay and mouths to feed
passions to pursue (?), well, then lucky... aren't you!

An adult is born when he makes what he's 'ought to' do, his 'want to' do
Yet, he thinks, this is the best, as he doesn't have the luxury of taking risks!

An adult is born when, he forgives and forgets the pangs caused by his dear,
Yet, keeps the scars at bay, for all he wants is his loved ones to be near.

An adult is born when, he moves out of his comfort zone..
Yet, he does it as he knows that, it needs to be done to expand and grow.

~~*~~

Taking birth as an adult, and living as one is a conscious effort that should taken by everyone of us, every second of our lives.

We need to constantly coax happiness and hoax pain.

When things don't seem to go your way,

Find your ray of hope & bounce back again!!

Takeaways from Wolverine

There might be a million reasons as to why people love Wolverine aka Logan (read Hugh Jackman), here are my takeaways from this character:

  • Regenerative Healing Power
As long as there are people, there will be politics and no man is an island!!! And you know that hurt, sadness and the like are byproducts of these people- politics. During such times, if we can gain strength from Wolverine just by recalling how his body coped with so many bullets and life-threatening injuries and cuts, we'll realize that the pain we are enduring is really nothing. Heal yourself. After-all, its all in he mind.
  • Strength
We do not have Adamantium in our bodies but our bones ain't weak either. You are way more strong than what you think of yourself.
  • Be a Survivor
Fight. Fight. Fight. Keep the fighting spirit until you don't reach your final destination. (Don't pick up a fight please :-P)
  • To love a person truly, sincerely and deeply
Wolverines' lady love was Jean and always will be. Our motto should be 'One person for life' :-)
  • Follow your (animal) instincts [social-animals, aren't we?]
Gut feelings are precious. Honour it. Being cautious and aware of your surroundings.
  • Stick to your values/ have noble intentions
Unlike his brother, Wolverine was not a psycho-killer. He killed only when it was necessary. Even a beastly person like him stuck to values, then why can't you being human stick up to it?
  • Discover your true-self
The Adamantium bullet shot at Wolverines' head healed but made him forget his past and since then he was in constant search of his past, his identity. Well, even in our case this is applicable.
When you question your self "Who am I", you seldom find answers!
  • Team Spirit
Its easy playing solo but a man who honours team spirit is truly worthy of accolade.

X-Men. Professor X. Magneto. Mystique. Storm. Cyclops. Logan. Jean. Kitty. Beast. Night- crawler. etc.

There's something to learn from everything and everyone. Even from mutants.

7 brilliant movies!

14 hours of these marvelous mutants and I'm still craving for more!

Cannot wait for 2016! X-Men Apocalypse!!

Love Mutant and Proud about it! :-)

Religious Ruminations!

Different religions have different beliefs regarding several aspects. I've always been keen about acquiring knowledge on these matters and have often had many philosophical discussions with people from other Religions. It is their religion that is Supreme and their Lord who is all-encompassing! ;) The beauty I believe lies in the art of entertaining these thoughts without being affected by it (one of my favorite quotes of Aristotle). Only then we can really come to accept what is going on with others. For it is the wise, who discuss ideas. Well, they seem to be right from their point of view. Don't they always? ;) We might know a bit more about our Religion. The vastness perhaps. But a common man might just know other people by their religion; Christian or a Muslim etc. But not the complexity that lies within their Religion.

Christianity for example, has so many sub-sects. Not just Catholics and Protestants. Even in Catholics and Protestants there are several sub-divisions. There are Jehovah's Witnesses too. They have entirely different interpretations of the Bible. I really feel amazed by this fact, a different interpretation of the Bible has led to the sub-division of a Religion!!!! That's really huge! Some believe in having a mediator to reach God(?). Some don't. Some pray to Jesus. Some don't, for he is the Son of God and not God, who is actually Jehovah(?). JW's don't believe in pagan practices like idol worship, wearing the cross etc. unlike the other Christians. People live in their own bubble following their set of beliefs, which is good (harmless). But if you get talking with each one of them with an open mind, each one of them would seem reasonable about their belief. Pretty convincing, aren't they? ;)

I think its good to be involved with the Divine for personal gratification, but why question others' and try proving it wrong? This is where problems begin. It's always good to be involved in these spiritual affairs as it keeps us occupied in what is considered good and also keeps us from indulging in atleast what that religion calls forbidden.

Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, men cannot live without a spiritual life.- Buddha

Humanity- the quality of being humane. Traits like compassion, generosity, sympathy, kindness, brotherly-love are encouraged and inculcated in all religions. If everybody just accepts other religions the way they are instead of trying to show their own religion as superior, there would definitely be more of world peace!

I love you when you bow in your mosque, kneel in your temple, pray in your church. For you and I are sons of one religion, and it is the spirit.- Khalil Gibran

I think it's the best to believe/ follow what your religion is following, because there is a good reason why you are meant to be a part of that bandwagon! ;)

It's all about you and your relationship with God. :)

Stay awesome. Spread Peace! \m/
