Stay true, Stay you

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you someone else is the greatest accomplishment.”
– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Forgot about “THE YOU” in “YOU” right?  A faint voice from within that is yearning for justice? A voice that you perhaps buried deep within because of many reasons. A voice to which you should have listened to way back. A voice that used to stop you from doing certain things, but what you listened to, were the voices of the people in the world, who meant nothing to you, those voices who knew nothing about you, those voices who didn’t know you skin deep.

It’s high time, you start listening to that voice within you, because that’s the real you, the unadulterated you, the pure you :-) It’s never too late to begin. :-)

In this constantly changing world, with the constantly changing people, and with the people who are constantly trying to change you, letting none of this affect you and carrying on with your life as if none of this is happening, is a big accomplishment, indeed. Its a battle I fight everyday, and let me tell you for sure, its worth it! For that, first, you should know who you are, where you are from, what you want and what you intend to become (ie, the better version of your own-self). You have come on this earth with a purpose, and no one dare try to get you off-track.  NO ONE.

Suggestions and advice are always welcome from others, but applying whatever you feel is relevant in your life, is YOUR wish. No one can force you into doing something, because YOU are the master of your life and there is only one ruler- YOU. Unless and until you clearly define yourself in this world that is full of crafty people, they will keep bombarding you with their nasty tricks. You do not need to bother about the people, if they don’t respect you for what you are. If someone is trying to bring you down, show them that you are strong enough to get up. Because YOU CAN. You are much stronger than you think. The only reason why people are trying to bring you down is because of the reason that you are better than them, maybe in a few ways or all ways. Everyone has their take on everything! You also have yours. Don’t let the opinion of others consume you.

“You really have to look inside yourself and find your own inner strength, and say, “I’m proud of what I am and who I am, and I’m just going to be myself.”
 -Mariah Carey

Negativity is all around and people will try their best to bring you down. You don’t have to change with the changing trends, if it is against your beliefs or wish. If people think you are not “kewl” (mind the spelling, it’s not cool :-P ), don’t give them a damn, why do you have to?? Its your life right? So, it’s your wish! You take decisions for yourself, don’t let the jerks around you change you or your mindset. You are unique, well, everyone is. Don’t try to become someone else, for petty reasons. Believe you can and you've already won half the battle! If you don't stand for anything, you'll fall for anything! And you don't want that to happen!

One of my favorite quotes goes like this-

“You like me? Raise your hand!
You don’t? Raise your standards!”

Never sacrifice yourself, just because someone has a problem with it. Well, it’s their problem, why are you worried? Let them learn to deal with YOU ;-) Give them an opportunity to grow! Some people might say that you have an attitude problem. If they have a problem with your attitude, that’s not your concern!!!

There is something that YOU can do better than any other. Listen to your inward voice and bravely obey it. Life is about living your own way, not existing the way others want you to. Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the face, and say, bring it on!

“You were born an original, don’t die a copy!”

Make sure that you’re not saying a ‘no’ to yourself, for saying a ‘yes’ to somebody else. Why compromise, adjust or adapt to the people who don’t mean anything to you? God wont ask you what your highest salary was, he will ask you whether you compromised on your character to obtain it. Be true to yourself.

Learn to say NO! No one can force you to do anything just because they want you to. You give them some space, and they'll dance on your head! Be clear about what you want.

Don’t let anybody use you, you’re not public property, you are a licensed version of yourself and it’s strictly private property, and sorry, trespassers are not allowed! Let no body invade your life, for a matter of fact, let no body invade your mind, your privacy, your anything and everything!!! Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

“Be your higher-self every day.”

Strive to become the best of yourself. Growing old is not a big deal, growing up is. ;-) Be a better person everyday. Because true nobility is being superior to your previous self.

This post is about me. Yes! This is how I live my life. I have always been the kinda woman, that makes the devil say, "Oh Crap, She's up", every morning! Haha! I hope that some of you, yes you! :-P begin living life afresh soon, and realize what matters the most. And always remember......

  5. Just a tiny suggestion here..
I felt that you should have cut down on the no. of quotations used in the post. Because when you claim that the post is about you, it is seldom that readers will believe that you are talking about yourself in the midst of all the cliched quotes like
"Raise your standards", "don't die a copy" etc. Take care that your voice (writing) dominates the write-up specially when you write about yourself, all other elements are merely like adding spices to the dish. :D

Nevertheless, it was a good post and I liked it :)

    1. Thank you very much. I'm extremely happy to know that it helps you.

I have one suggestion, if you'd want to consider it. Do the 'Happiness Program' by 'Art of Living'. It's very very helpful, it'll help you discover your true potential, load you with so much positivity, help deal with difficult people, give you emotional stability, keep you healthy & energised and much much more.
